COVID-19 Coronavirus Pandemic
The coronavirus COVID-19 is affecting 210 countries and territories around the world and 2 international conveyances.
Total cases of coronavirus COVID-19, as of, 14th of April 2020 is 1,980,793 with 125,018 deaths and 465,898 recovered.
As for Ireland, the lockdown is set until 5th of May or until further instructions from Taoiseach.
The Department of Health has announced this evening a further 41 deaths from coronavirus. It brings the death toll in the country to 406.
36 people were located in the east, four in the west, one in the south of the country of the new confirmed deaths. 25 males and 16 of the fatalities were females with a median age of 85.
31 people were reported as having underlying health conditions.
The total cases in the Republic of Ireland is 11,479 with another 832 cases confirmed today.
Of these new cases, 548 were reported by Irish laboratories, and 284 from a laboratory in Germany.
Ireland will remain in lockdown until Tuesday, May 5 in a bid to slow down the spread of the deadly bug.
